Our Commitment to Health, Safety and Security

For almost 60 years, Killarney Hotels has placed an unwavering focus on the health and wellbeing of our most valued guests and colleagues in each of our properties. Rest assured that this focus is especially important during the current Coronavirus Crisis. We are continuously monitoring and following the changes in recommendations and guidelines from the government, local authorities and from the World Health Organisation (WHO), to continue working towards providing the best service possible, while safeguarding the welfare of our guests and colleagues as we await our reopening from July 8th 2020 (based on currently Government Roadmap).

The hotel is following government guidelines and will remain closed until July 8th 2020. During this time we are proactively planning for our reopening, and the implementation of a framework to protect our team and guests, not limited to but including following areas:

  • Upon reopening we will be diligently adhering to the guidelines advised by the government and Chief Medical Officer in order to safely look after our guests, team and visitors in our local community

  • We will establish a team in house to manage the framework and communicate these measures to each department, so all team members are fully prepared.
  • Hand Sanitizer stations will be at all entry doors, reception, dining areas and will be easily accessed in public areas.

  • Our Accommodation Department will implement enhanced sanitising measures in each guestroom paying particular attention to the disinfection of touch points such as door handles, remote controls, light switches, counter tops etc. A strict sanitising procedure for all public areas will also be implemented and adhered to.

  • Seating in public areas, restaurants, bars and lounges will be configured to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. We may implement maximum capacities for certain times and areas to allow for a safe experience in our food and beverage outlets, in line with guidelines. We will offer table service in our public areas in addition to Room Service to guestrooms.

  • Strict hand hygiene will be implemented for all team members and notice points will be in place to continually communicate proper hand hygiene, coughing etiquette, along with information on COVID-19 symptoms and prevention measures.

  • We will continue to review guidance provided by the relevant authorities including the HSE, Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC), the WHO and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Stays and Cancellations

Although it has been incredibly disappointing not to be able to welcome so many of our wonderful guests whilst to current restrictions are in place, preventing the spread of COVID-19 and keeping safe and healthy is the primary goal for each and every one of us.

 
Leisure Guests

During this temporary closure, our email and phone lines are being monitored Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm by our colleagues working from home. We appreciate your patience while we work through these extraordinary times.

Guests who have made a reservation via online travel agents, online booking platform or with third-party travel professionals, must please contact their booking provider directly for any adjustments.

We look forward to reopening on July 8th 2020, and welcoming friends old and new. Reservations for after this time can be made on our website, by email or telephone. Our cancellation policy allows for free cancellation up to 48 hours prior to arrival offering flexibility in these uncertain times.
